We found the standard of accommodation and cleanliness was superb; the breakfast and kitchen facilities were excellent. We also stayed in 4 star hotels during our trip to Europe, and the helpfulness of the staff at Backpackers Villa Sonnenhof was the best we experienced on the whole trip, as was the view from our family room, with a balcony overlooking the snow-topped mountains behind Interlaken.
We would heartily recommend the hostel to anyone wanting great self-catering facilities within a friendly environment in Interlaken.

The facility is perfect for families AND backpackers with lots of cooking space, lounge areas, and space outside to run and play. The breakfast was basic but perfectly filling with hearty bread, yogurt, and cereals. The coffee machine is a wonderful bonus. We didn't use the free bus or pool access since we had a car and a busy schedule, but would use them for a less busy visit in the future.

They have great facilities, with multiple kitchen stations so there's plenty of space for cooking, which is a good idea in expensive switzerland. The wifi even works perfectly in the rooms. Very comfortable stay!
